Apparel Group is a Sydney-based company established in the early 1950s. Today, Apparel Group is a diverse retail and private label business with offices in Sydney, Hong Kong and Shanghai.  Serving leading retailers in Australia and New Zealand, Apparel Group designs, markets and supplies a large range of fashionable garments with an emphasis on style, innovation and quality. The total focus is on customers and the supply chain.

In 1998 Apparel Group opened an office in Shanghai to better manage the company's growing import business. The aim is to source and supply fashionable, well made product in China, using our local market experience and expertise.  The Hong Kong office was opened in 2004 to further enhance supply-chain logistics.

In more recent times, Apparel Group has moved aggressively into developing an independent branded division. In 2000 the Sportscraft brand was acquired to compliment the portfolio as part of a diversification strategy into branded product.  The Saba brand was acquired in 2005 and fulfils the company’s plan to expand its branded apparel division.  The contemporary modern feel of Saba compliments the classic styling of Sportscraft.

As a national retailer of well crafted women and men's fashion Apparel Group now employs approximately 1,000 people in more than 216 locations across Australia.
